Fine Jewelry Store in Altus, OK

Crown Jewelry has been part of downtown Altus since 1984, when John and Debra Borders opened their store on Main Street. It is still family-owned. Shannon Preston, their son-in-law, runs the store today, Debra leads custom design, and Darren Cramer works as the on-site jeweler. People come in for engagement rings, anniversary gifts, repairs, and appraisals, and most of that work happens without the jewelry ever leaving the building.

Bridal, Diamond, and Color Stone Jewelry

Choosing an engagement ring is easier when you can take your time, ask questions, and try on anything that catches your eye. The bridal and diamond collection includes engagement rings, anniversary bands, and wedding rings in both lab grown and natural diamonds. Diamond bands run from .10 carat to 1.00 carat and larger.


For gifts beyond the ring, the cases hold tennis bracelets, diamond solitaire and hoop earrings, cross and solitaire pendants, and colored gemstone pieces. In the store, stones are viewed under 10x magnification so you can see what those grades look like on the actual diamond in front of you.

Custom Design Built Around Your Idea

Some pieces start with a sketch. Others start with a drawer of old rings nobody wears anymore. Debra Borders leads custom jewelry design at Crown Jewelry, and the store builds CAD mockups so you can see a design and ask for changes before anything is made.


Diamonds and colored stones from older jewelry can be remounted into a new setting. That is often how an inherited ring becomes something you actually reach for every morning. Special orders work the same way: tell us what you have in mind, and we will start looking.

Repairs Handled Here in the Shop

Darren Cramer does repair work on site. Ring sizing, prong re-tipping, stone setting, chain and bracelet repair, and pearl restringing are all done in the Altus store, so routine work is not shipped out to another shop. Cleaning, stone checks, and even eyeglass repair are on the list too. You can see everything on the jewelry repair and services.


Watches have their own specialist. Dan Mongeon retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2003, attended the watchmaking school at Oklahoma State University in Okmulgee, and graduated in 2005. He services Rolex, Omega, Breitling, Cartier, Tag Heuer, Fossil, and many other brands, and he handles battery and band replacements as well. Appraisals, Engraving, and Gold Buying

Crown Jewelry's certified appraisers conduct point-of-sale and insurance replacement appraisals, along with estate appraisals and color and clarity grading of diamonds. If your insurance provider needs current documentation on a ring or necklace, start with jewelry appraisals in Altus.


Jewelry engraving adds initials, important dates, or a short phrase to rings, pendants, and charms. Fingerprint and signature engraving go a step further, preserving a loved one's touch or handwriting in metal.

Visit Crown Jewelry on Main Street

You will find us at 219 N Main St in Altus, serving customers from across SW Oklahoma and North Texas. Hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The store is closed Sunday. Five-month layaway and financing are available, and every purchase comes with free gift wrapping.
